Project: Unpacking 2014/15

Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights (YUCOM) as the partner of the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, in cooperation with the Centre for Theatre Research (ApsArt) and Beta Media center (BMC) and with the technical support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports is organizing the program for twelve Municipal youth offices or youth clubs – Unpacking 2014/15.
This program, organized in two components, is an attempt to make young people from different parts of Serbia connect to each other and learn, using a variety of practical and interactive forms. The first component includes: creating a public call to select 12 youth offices, workshops for young people in the local community, preparing cultural packages and promoting them, while the second component comprises from regional exchange and performance. Municipal youth offices/Youth clubs and their coordinators and associates are recognized as important partners at the local level where this program can be used for the improvement and development of existing or creation of capacities to build new services and programs for youth.
The whole program is an attempt to promote constant learning about each other, our and characteristics, habits and needs of others, with the aim of better understanding and greater appreciation. In the form of the cultural package that includes all social aspects that are important to young people and that young people recognize in order to present themselves and their community the process of “unpacking” will start. Cultural package is a “living thing” that has the role of the rich diversity observed through a positive attitude.
Program objectives: to encourage the cooperation of young people from ethnically diverse communities and to contribute to the development of programs and learning of both, YO/YCs that have recently been established and those that have already developed certain cultural programs.
The activities by which the program will be accompanied with will be monitored and promoted through national and local media, promotional materials and social networks.
