About the project: This consultation was an opportunity for legal professionals to provide the Special Rapporteur with information about the threats and risk faced by lawyers in Eastern Europe, North Caucasus and Central Asia. It was also a platform to gain knowledge of and cooperation with the work of the mandate of the UN Special Rapporteur. Finally, the consultation assisted the UN Special Rapporteur in drawing recommendations to be addressed to States and other stakeholders, in view of her reporting to the General Assembly, scheduled on October 2016.
