Project Title: Elimination of discriminatory practices, hate speech and hate crimes against LGBT citizens in Serbia – towards effective policies

About the project: The proposed project will primarily address legislative gaps and the shortcomings in implementation of existing anti-discrimination, violence prevention, hate speech and hate crime policies regarding LGBT persons. As there is very little legal analysis conducted and produced for NGO reports, the proposed project would fill this gap by providing the in depth study and set of policy recommendations for decision makers. The project will furthermore include provision of free legal aid (FLA) to members of LGBT community who are victims of discrimination, hate speech and hate crimes in different areas of Serbia. Special focus will be on incidents in smaller communities, where the level of protection is lower.
