The Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights YUCOM has the pleasure to invite you to the presentation of the Report on Attacks on Human Rights Defenders in Serbia for 2020 which will be held on Monday, April 19th, 2021 at 10 AM via Zoom platform. The Report is based on the collected information during the first year of one of the action In Solidarity for the Rights of All, led by the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights YUCOM, in partnership with the Belgrade Center for Security Policy (BCSP) and the Association People’s Parliament, with the support of EU Delegation, European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).

Based on the data collected for the Map of Incidents noting the attacks and pressures on organizations, informal groups and individuals involving human rights protection, which YUCOM and partners had launched in November 2020, the team concluded that during the previous year the most violated HRD rights were freedom of expression and freedom of association. Therefore, precisely these rights were the focus of the first annual Report on Attacks on Human Rights Defenders in Serbia for 2020. During the presentation, attentive participants of the domestic and international public will be presented with information on the current situation and position of human rights defenders in Serbia, which have not been available so far, while the Report will be distributed after the event.

Please register your presence or the presence of a representative of your organization via e-mail no later than Friday, April 16th, CoB via e-mail office@yucom.org.rs or via phone +381113344425, so we can provide you with a link to attend the presentation via the Zoom platform webinar. The working language of the presentation is Serbian, and interpretation in English will be provided. Please find attached the draft agenda of the event.
