The Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights YUCOM has the pleasure to invite you to the conference “Judiciary Integration in the context of Belgrade and Prishtina dialogue and the EU accession process” which will be held on March 4, 2021 at 1 pm via Zoom platform. The conference is the final event of the Towards Stronger Judiciary via Citizen Monitoring: Phase 2 project, implemented by YUCOM during 2020 and 2021 with the support of the Royal Embassy of Norway and the Balkan Trust for Democracy.
Beside presenting the most important results of the project, a special topic of the conference will be the Report No. 2 on the Implementation and Effects of the Justice Agreement “Integration of Judiciary in the Judicial System of Kosovo in the Context of Belgrade – Prishtina Dialogue And EU Accession Process“. In addition to the findings on how the agreement was implemented and the Serbian judiciary integrated into Kosovo’s institutions, the research shows current state of functioning of the integrated judicial institutions during the three years of implementation of the agreement. Based on the findings of the first report, the second report specifically addresses the involvement of Serbian courts in providing access to justice for citizens living or exercising their rights in Kosovo. The findings show whether and to what extent access to justice for citizens of northern Kosovo has improved.
Please register your presence or the presence of a representative of your organization via e-mail office@yucom.org.rs by March 3, 2021, no later that 2 pm, so we can provide you with a link to attend the meeting. Interpretation will be provided during the conference, and the report will be distributed after the conference.
