HUMAN RIGHTS AND COVID 19

The Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights, in cooperation with the United Nations Human Rights Team, had been monitoring the respect and facilitation of enjoying human rights during the COVID-19 epidemic in the Republic of Serbia. On that occasion and in order to improve the human rights situation during the epidemic, a series of thematic analyzes has been created with the aim of timely informing and assessing the necessary further steps during the epidemic. As a final result of this cooperation, a comprehensive analysis Human Rights and COVID 19: Analysis of changes in the legal framework during the COVID-19 epidemic and the impact on human rights in the Republic of Serbia was made, which is a compilation of previously prepared thematic analyzes of measures taken by the state in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, but also provides updated information in accordance with the changes that occurred in the later period. This Analysis was created through monitoring the changes in legal framework, monitoring policies and other institutional responses to the challenges brought by COVID-19 in the period from March to September 2020.
The presentation of the analysis Human Rights and COVID 19: Analysis of changes in the legal framework during the COVID-19 epidemic and the impact on human rights in the Republic of Serbia will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 11:00 to 13:00, via the Zoom platform.The event agenda is attached. The working language will be Serbian, but simultaneous translation into English and sign language will also be provided. The analysis is translated into English.
