Invitation to the conference “Empowering Reporting on Standards of Rule of Law”

We invite you to the final conference Empowering Reporting on Standards of Rule of Law organized by Lawyer’s Committee for Human Rights-YUCOM in cooperation with civil society organizations from the region, to be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Human Rights and Democracy House in Belgrade, starting at 10 am.
The goal of the project Empowering Reporting on Standards of Rule of Law in Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina to support journalists and improve the quality and objectivity of media reporting on trials in criminal proceedings.
During the project implementation, training was organized for journalists and journalism students who reported on or would like to report on trials in criminal proceedings, and, as a result of the project, a practical manual for monitoring of criminal trials was created, which will be presented at the Conference.
In order to improve communication between the participants in the procedure and the media, a public relations training for bar chambers and lawyers was organized, and a public relations manual for lawyers was also created, which will also be presented.
